The single tower development has been elevated off the ground as a design response to the natural terrain of the site and is designed to create a minimalist form with an emphasis on clean vertical geometry, modern elements, crisp detailing and a clean façade profile. The architectural vocabulary of Juniper Hill is designed to create a luxurious and contemporary lifestyle for the residents, and the combination of glass, wooden texture and warm accents creates a calm and cozy environment that is inspired by juniper forests.

The main entrance is ensconced in verdant greenery that greets and creates a sense of warm arrival amidst nature, for the residents. The arrival lobby is designed with a palette of wooden textures, marble and bronze accents that form a minimalist yet elegant expression of modern grandeur.

Interior Aesthetics & Finishes

The internal spaces of the units are well planned to provide efficient and usable spaces for the residents. Concept

For centuries, the juniper tree has symbolised protection and health and the architectural concept and design of this luxurious condominium is inspired by the characteristic of ‘Juniper Trees’. The straight, sleek and unique tree trunk of the trees has been abstracted into the vertical fins on the tower façade and the feature walls from the building crown to the landscape deck. Juniper Hill is designed to create a minimalist form superimposed with an abstracted pattern of the juniper tree leaves and branches and with warm colours on the façade, that are inspired by the natural ambience of a Juniper forest.

Maintainability

The finishing proposed for the development are mainly stone or porcelain tiles which are easily cleaned. The building facade is generally flat vertically with minimal projection for ease of maintenance. Gondola hanging system is provided at the roof top for maintenance and cleaning of the building facade. Service corridors segregated from common facilities at the roof are provided for access to the gondola hanging system. As for the softscape, irrigation system is provided for watering.

Space Utilization

The Juniper Hill sales gallery is located in an unassuming corner of the Tanglin mall, and makes use of an unoccupied retail unit. The space has been designed to utilize every inch of the retail space without compromising the experience and function of the sales gallery which includes a reception area, a mini theatre, model space, a Juniper Bar, admin office, discussion area, branding light fixture area and two show units. The two show units which are 2-Bedroom Premium and 3-Bedroom+Study and other utility functions have been planned at the two extreme ends of the available space and are accessed from a central space that accommodates the display model and discussion areas which require a bigger space for circulation.

Practicality

The adoption of retail space as a sales gallery is uncommon in Singapore due to the limitations it can cause in space planning .The design consultants have however turned these limitations into an exciting possibility by planning the sales gallery and crafting the spatial experience within the given three-dimensional space.

The location and experience of the sales gallery has elevated the marketing of the property as a high-end development. The design consultants have kept the design clean and simple yet not losing the elegance. The whole sales gallery is carpeted and the furniture chosen are customised with suede upholstery to bring out the subtle elegance. Despite the space constraint, the smart arrangement of the furniture made the overall ambience cozy. Viewing is strictly by appointment only and not open to public, this provides the purchaser with a unique exclusive experience in an alternative setting.

Creativeness

Juniper Hill sales gallery is located in one of the retail units of Tanglin Mall, as a response to land scarcity which poses great impact to most developers in sourcing for suitable locations from the available TOL land. Additional consideration was made to reduce the impact to the environment caused by the construction and occupation of the sales gallery.

The proximity of the showflat to actual site is also a consideration factor in choosing the sales gallery location. Tanglin Mall is situated at the heart of the city, between the junction of Tanglin Road and Grange Road, surrounded with colonial and tropical architecture reflecting an ambiance of warmth and comfort has an ideal setting as a niche for expatriates, yuppies and professionals.

Overall Uniqueness

The design of the sales gallery has taken into consideration the movement the purchaser from the mall to the transitional space of the reception area, and the unveiling of the space beyond with a focus on the model viewing area. The design was done with great emphasis on the material selections, composition and interfacing details that downplay the height constraint of the existing retail unit.
