BERNARD TONG
CEO
EdgeProp Singapore

Bernard Tong is the CEO of EdgeProp Singapore, recently voted as the 88th fastest growing company in Asia Pacific by Financial Times. He also manages The Edge Singapore, a leading weekly investment and business publication. His previous experiences include working for The Boston Consulting Group as a Management Consultant, where he advised multinational corporations and government agencies on strategic initiatives.


ANGELA LIM
Co-founder
SuMisura

Armed with a Bachelor of Arts degree, a flair for design and an athlete’s mind set, Angela Lim has been zealously pursuing a career in interior design since 2002. After working alongside UK and Japanese designers for a good part of her career, Lim founded her own design studio, SuMisura in 2009. She has not looked back since.

Angela enjoys poring over challenging layout plans and working with other creative minds and sophisticated stylists to create plush and luxurious interiors. Over the years of designing show houses and luxury bungalows in Singapore and consulting for developers n royalties within Asia, Angela has garnered much praise for her works in the last decade and is one of the most sought- after contributing writers and speakers in the local interior design field. Named one of the Top 50 most influential designers by Tatler Homes, Angela has also been serving as a Judge for the EdgeProp awards since 2019.

SuMisura’s award-winning designs include show units of luxury condominiums, integrated developments, penthouses, good class bungalows and private landed residences such as Le Nouvel KLCC, 3 Orchard by the Park, D Leedon Garden Villa, South Beach residences, Bishopsgate Residences and the Sky Suite at One Shenton, Singapore.


DESMOND SIM
CEO

With more than 20 years’ experience in real estate, Desmond is backed with robust acumen and know-how across diverse property sectors – including commercial, residential, retail, industrial, hospitality and institutional real estate.  His broad expertise in research and consulting, coupled with his wide-ranging experience across commercial, government and non-profit organisations, gives him an excellent overview of the industry.  

As EDMUND TIE’s key media spokesperson, Desmond is also a well sought-after speaker for various forums and seminars organised by real estate developers and associations, financial institutions, as well as institutions. With a strong passion for retail, he also sits on the inaugural Fair Tenancy Industry Committee. 

In his earlier roles, Desmond was the head of Research for CBRE Singapore and Southeast Asia.  Before embarking on real estate research, he was a licensed real estate appraiser and has experience in property tax consultancy. Desmond was also part of a team which incepted and completed various private equity real estate funds in China and India.  He had also undertaken numerous research, feasibility and master planning studies in Singapore and other countries, including Brunei, Indonesia, Maldives and Thailand.


DR SKY KIAT YING SEAH
Academic Director, Master of Science in Real Estate
National University of Singapore

Sky’s research interests range from racial differences in housing markets and social capital investment to studying institutional investment in real estate. Her work has been published in Regional Science and Urban Economics, Economics Letters, Urban Studies, and Real Estate Economics. A winner of the NUS Annual Teaching Excellence Award in 2016, Sky teaches courses in urban economics and real estate investment. She currently serves as a member of the Professional Development Committee at the Council of Estate Agencies, and is an Honorary Academic Advisor of the Institute of Estate Agents.  Before NUS, she was a senior officer at JTC Corporation, served as Secretary of the accreditation committee of the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers, and consulted at the Office of the Chief Economist of Freddie Mac.  She was the Deputy Head of the Real Estate department at the NUS School of Design and Environment from 2017 to 2021. 


TANG KOK THYE

ADDP Architects LLP

Tang Kok Thye is an Associate Partner with ADDP Architects LLP. He graduated from NUS School of Architecture in 1994 and further obtained a Master of Science (Real Estate) in 2005. He has been a qualified architect registered with the Board of Architects Singapore since 1997 and a member of Singapore Institute of Architects. He is also registered as an ASEAN and APEC Architect.

A certified SGBC Green Mark Accredited Professional (SGBC-GMAP), he has completed numerous Green Mark projects, including 9 certified to the highest possible Green Mark Platinum rating, one of which is the first Platinum SLEB (Super Low Energy Building) for residential at 80 Anson Road. Another project, the Treehouse condominium in Bukit Timah, holds the Guinness World Records as the world’s largest vertical garden

In 2012, Ar. Tang was named Green Architect of the Year under the BCA-SGBC Green Building Individual Awards, jointly conferred by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC). In 2014, he designed the first residential project in Singapore using Pre-Finished Pre-Cast Volumetric Construction (PPVC) to improve the productivity of the building and construction sector.

He is currently the President of the Singapore Green Building Council Board, Co-Chairman of the Green Built-Environment Advisory Committee as well as REDAS Honorary Architectural Advisor.


YVONNE TAN
Director
DP Green

Yvonne Tan is a Singapore accredited Landscape Architect with a keen interest in placemaking, biophilia, increasing species rich habits and creating wellness and therapeutic landscapes. A Director of DP Green Pte Ltd (DPG), a Landscape Architecture consultancy in Singapore, she has over 27 years in designing and delivering local and international projects across a wide range of project typologies, exponentially value adding to the private and public sector clients and collaborators.

Yvonne serves as Chairperson on the Urban Greenery Technical Committee for Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) since 2016. She also currently serves as 1st Vice President on Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects (SILA) council, and chairs the SILA’s Professional Practice Pillar. She represents SILA on the Singapore’s inter-agency Active Beautiful Clean Waters Professional’s Monitoring Committee and the National Parks Board’s Landscape Excellence Assessment Framework (LEAF) Panel. She is also serving on the Singapore Polytechnic ABE Advisory Committee. Yvonne is active as a n invited speaker in local and international conferences, and judges for various Landscape Design awards, including the 2022 Garden Festival’s Landscape Challenge for IHLs, and served as juror for the SG Mark Award 2023.
